We’re always trying out new ways to bring creativity to the table and a certain delicious alchemy has been at play in The Allotment of late.
We’ve released our festive menu and we’re real suckers for pairing drinks, beverages that complement the food, so we’re mixing up some new flavours and sticking a plant-powered spin on the classics.
Here’s this week’s festive offering – comment below, let us know what you think!
Home Made Coconut Bailey’s Hot Chocolate
We know this one’s a winner so we had to offer it at The Allotment – if you ever want to grab a mug, we’re always happy to knock up one of these babies.
Our own home-made Irish Cream is the star of the choco show – we make it in house at The Allotment with coconut milk and Jameson’s Whiskey.
The hot chocolate is your usual Belgian chocolate delight with steamed coconut milk and then we add our home brew Irish Cream at the end for that whiskey Christmas kick. The creamy dairy-free beverage is lovingly adorned with Belgian chocolate shavings and served for sipping. Show the cold who’s boss with your Irish Cream hot chocolate!
Turkish delight cocktail
Christmas is about treats and a good old Turkish Delight can’t go amiss this season. We’re serving up gin, lemon juice, rose water and vanilla syrup with aquafabar to achieve that sweet, thick jelly texture. Decadently moreish, the gin based cocktail gives us a nostalgic little fuzzy feeling inside – or maybe it’s the gin – try for yourself!
Both cocktails chime a pairing of excellence with our festive menu and work brilliantly as a dessert cocktail with either our festive menu or our taster menus.
If you have any specific dietary requirements or questions about all the tasty bits we’re using to create these sensational consumables feel free to message or call us – we’ll be there to help you out!
